5-Fluorosalicylic acid

5-Fluorosalicylic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of 5-substituted salicylates. It has a strong affinity for human serum and can be used as an indicator in the determination of blood glucose. 5-Fluorosalicylic acid also binds to p-nitrophenyl phosphate with high affinity, which is involved in the regulation of cellular energy metabolism and plays a role in the production of ATP.
